Cantonese Teacher

I was born and raised in Guangzhou (Canton), China, where Cantonese originated. I have my bachelor's degree in English and Literature from Beijing International Studies University, and master's degree in education from Western Michigan University. As a young freelance writer, I published my first book Stamp of Love in 2008.

To me, teaching Cantonese is a part of reconstructing the Tower of Babel, which has no religious meanings in this context but the spirit and passion of helping all human beings understand other ethnic groups through multicultural education. After four years of teaching, I believe a highly qualified language instructor should be enabled to conduct individualized curriculum to meet students' needs, and foster students' multi-cultural awareness and competence.

I learned Spanish for two years when I was in college. The old fashion teaching methods frustrated me so I understand how important individualized instructions are. Learning Cantonese is very different from Mandarin, including tones, grammars, characters, and cultures. As a native Cantonese speaker, let me guide you to a new and exciting Cantonese world.
